I've merged some documents together and now it has different footers, how can i make the footers all the same as the first page, ive used a macro to delete them all and then tried to put a new one in but it only goes down a few pages.
It sounds like Word. If it is, then merges create section breaks. You must have different footers (which are parts of Sections) set up in the merge document.
You need to provide more details. However, check what you have as footer in the merge document. Fix those.
Right. The only you can have different footers is to have Page Setup set to use different footers. As I said, go to your merge document (not your merged document), and uncheck Different first page, Different odd/even.
When you do the merge, new Sections will be created, but Word has Same as previous as the default. So if the first Section does not have Different odd/even, or Different first page, the footer will be maintained the same throughout.
Tried that and it works perfect now, it makes all the footers the same so i dont have to go through the document and check and change the missing footers manually.
