how to make a cell not display zero

Hello,

I have several cells on sheet 2 that are linked to cells on sheet 1. I have a macro that will clear the contents of those cells on sheet 1 and display an empty cell. However, the linked cells on sheet 2 will display the number zero.

Is there a way I can make the linked cells on sheet 2 display an empty cell as a result of the link until data is placed into the cells on sheet 1?
