How to install 850DP upgrade?

I just got an 850DP board to upgrade my 850N. Is there anything special I need to do beforehand or is it pretty much plug-and-play? Should the DIP switches be set to the same settings?

As long as the main board reads the new code rom then it should recognize it as a DP. The DIP switches on the back are used to put the printer into diags and manufacture mode and reset it, they have no part is setting the feature set.

Hi Marty, I've seen a lot of your posts here on tek tips. I have a Phaser 860Dn and I'd like to upgrade it to an 860DP. What does it entail to accomplish this?
