How to!! Help!! -- Set up the schedule task?

Dear all,

I,ve got a question and I do really need some help.


Is there anyway that we can write any stored-procedure/trigger, etc. to do something in the databade automatically without using the set up schelde task on the OS or Server?

I means in Oracle.


What I want to do is to have an automatically running a report every night and sending out a notification to appropriate departments.

You might want to take a look at the DBMS_JOB package. It's designed for exactly what you want to do.
