Ok I have a mediaplayer object to open MP3s with. I want to display the total time of the MP3 in a label.

You have the TimeFormat method/propertiy(?) so you can get the length of the media in different formats.
And then use the Length method. (it returns the no. of milliseconds, by default - you can compute the hh,mm,ss from there).
