how to get the old movie and letter box effect

Hi,

i need to do an old movie effect(with scratches and b/w) in premiere6.5...i dont have any plug-in to do that. How do i do that effect and also the letterbox effect in premiere6.5? is there any free plug-in to do these effects?
is there a tutorial to attain these effects?
