How to get the 4621 backlit LCD to "go dim" with VPN firmware.

I have 8730s running CM5.1 and some 4621sw IP sets with the VPN firmware on them. The lit LCD will not time out and dim like they do with the normal firmware on them at work. I assume this is something in the .scr on the VPN phone application. Does anyone know how to get the VPN phones to time out and dim?

it can be done via the 46xxsettings.txt file or for the VPN Phones the 46vpnsetting.txt.
in the document you can find something like this:

############### DISPLAY BACKLIGHT CONTROL ################
##
## Idle Time Before Turning Off Backlight (minutes)
## Number of minutes without phone activity to wait
## before turning off backlight. A value of 0 means the
## backlight is never turned off. This parameter is
## supported only by phones which have a backlight.
## The default is 120 minutes.
## SET BAKLIGHTOFF 120

you need to remove the # signs to activate the feature, remember this file can be upload to the phones via a TFTP or HTTPS - HTTP server
