How to get right hyperlink-display in MS-word2000?

Dear Sir or Madam,
In MS-word2000 file, I see this line:

{HYPERLINK "

http://www.sohu.com/"}

All MS-word files in this computer has this same problem, the real hyperlink just cannot be showed properly.

I have tried many ways to solve this, but failed, even after I have removed office2000 and reinstall it.

Your kind help would be very appreciated.

on the view tab, uncheck field codes
