Hi,My computer seems to get infected by recycler.exe(virus!) through USB sticks.Now all the USB i attach with my PC get affected by it! Includes poor mobile memories,other pen drives,they all seem to have recycler.exe and other .exe files with the same names of the existing folders in them.The drives of my PC dont show recycler.exe but all the USB do after being attached to my PC.Mobiles started to hang when memory cards are accessed!When I delete these .exe files...they are created again immediately! I hope it is a common problem.Any effective solution?Thanks in advance!

hey! i have deleted it somehow using a malware. Now it is not visible in windows.But When i connect the memory stick to my mobile, it is there.another thing i am facing is--now the memory and another pen drive are showing their properties right but cant show all the folders in it while connected to pc.I mean only one existing folder is shown in every device.other folders are not visible! but they are there! how to get access to my folders from windows XP?any particular antivirus/spyware for recycler.exe?

The above link also includes links to other free and paid versions of Anti Virus security products.

Try running ChkDsk on all these flash drives after you have removed the virus infection. ChkDsk will check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.

Works OK here in IE8. Can you try it on another (non-infected, friends machine)? Some malware will purposely block security URLs as well as security programs from installing and running. Prevx is not freeware, as far as I can remember, but it is free to try. It also offers the possibility of a randomly named download in case it is on the malware's list of removal programs to block.

rajibraaj, one solution to your problem,
start->Run->type cmd then enter
now youre on the command prompt
type the drive you want to fix. example,
drive E.
type e:
then it goes like this,
E:\>
then type
attrib pathname/foldername -s - h
now you can see its visible.

remember you must know the foldernames inside your drive before you could enable them. i hope it works.
