Hi everybody,

I have to set up a recipient policy wich creates email addresses as [ignore]firstname.lastname@domain.com[/ignore]
This article shows how to do it, using [ignore]%s.%g@domain.com[/ignore] :
The problem is that the new created address has firstname and lastname first letters in uppercase.

Does anyone know how to force it to lowercase ?

Thanks

YannL

It's just doing a left$() of the attribute. If it's capitalized in the attribute, that's what you'll get. When you send mail to an smtp address, it's case insensitive. This is really just a cosmetic issue.

If you really must change it, you'll need to stamp the addresses yourself via script.

OK. Yes, it's just a 'cosmetic'issue to prevent my phone ringing all day long with people complaining that email addresses in outlook are not matching those written on business cards.

Thanks.

Looks fine.
Can this be run as an asp page ?

1 You'd have to modify it.
2 You do not want to give user's the ability to set their own email address. The next thing you know, some user try to add their AOL address and you'll get a call because it doesn't work. Your current call volume will pale by comparison.

I had been searching for a long time on the internet without finding anything valuable.
Thank you xsmre, I think you deserve this star.
