Hi all,

How can I get GMT time from SQL server?Any idea about the process which SQL server follows to get UTC dateand time?

Simple: SQL Server reads local machine time and zone setting, then calculates UTC/GMT.

What are you looking for? As Vongrunt stated, SQL Server does that with GETUTCDATE(), so why is anything else needed? That would be like reinventing the wheel.

If you are looking for a solution besides SQL Server, you need to post in an appropriate forum.
