Just wondering what is the easiest way to do a Login/Password thing like Hotmail or a link to a protected site..using Frontpage?? What I would like to do is to make a link or a page like Hotmail and I would like people to register and get their login name and password after the register and click on the link and login in? Could anybody help me on this? Thanks!<br>

You will have to use some sort of database to accomplish this. What you do is store the name/password pairs in the database, then, after the user enters the name/password, you simply see if the Passoword matches for the name. You can do this in frontpage, using an Access Database, very easily.

OK Madhacker <br>
So give us just a little detail we are very intrigued<br>
Do we set up a database region?<br>
do we need to have .ASP extensions.<br>
TIA

A little more detail? Go to the frontpage help file and type in &quot;Add information from a database to your pages using the Database Results Wizard&quot;. That should cover all the details.

Is that option only available on Front Page 2000?

I have a customer that wants users to pay for site membership with a credit card. How can I do this?

I would suggest an actual merchant account for credit card processing, where you don't have to register as a customer.

Try Linkpoint.com or Cardersive.com for merchant accounts. I have set up both API and HTML very easy.

As for the login 'thingy' here is another opinion that is fairly easy and pretty secure.

Good Luck!

Yeah but is [red]100%[/color] paypal is FREE !!!!!!

the other is $600.00

As a registered Merchant Helper customer, 2DEG provides a secure server for your shopping site free for 1 full year. Subsequent years cost only $49.95 to be collected on a yearly basis. With the secure server, your potential customers will feel secure to place orders on your shopping site. The cost to acquire and setup your own secure server normally costs ~$600 per year.
