I'm looking for a way to find the motherboard make and model through XP. Is there a way? I have a very remote customer, who has a custom built pc and needs a memory upgrade. I tried explaining how to take the cover off and look at the motherboard, but he was not excited about this idea, so I'm trying to find a way to glean this information with a few clicks. I hope someone can help!

Thanks!

When I go to "Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools" and Open System Information I can see my motherboard make and model number when System Summary is selected in the left column. In the right column I look for "Bios Version/Date". See below.

BIOS Version/Date Award Software, Inc. ASUS A7V-133 ACPI BIOS Revision 1009, 23/04/2002

Motherboard Manufacturer - Asus
Motherboard Model - A7V-133

I'm not sure if all systems will show motherboard info here, but mine does.
