I wish to produce artwork on a PC to be sent to a print shop that is using Macs.
What is the best way of exporting the file so that all the fonts and images will appear correctly on the Mac,bearing in mind I am using True Type fonts.
If I export as EPS, will any trapping settings be retained?

All help is greatly appreciated, I am new to Quark as you can probably tell :) .

Will where to start:

As you may will have quessed, you have a problem with the fonts, you have true type, the macs use Adobe and other families.

This is a difficult one, I would normally charge to doing this or send it to a repro house that can work with PC files.

Can you give me more infomation, ie number of pages and number of fonts used.

I can convert True type fonts to Mac format that can then be read. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

Thanks for your reply.

16 pages A4, mainly Times New Roman.

Is there not a way of embedding the fonts/text, or saving the fonts in the EPS file as the bitmaps are saved?

I am using 4.01 BTW.

Sorry no to the question about exporting.

Will you could if you had Adobe Acrobat, and used the settings on This would mean that the repro house would have to be able to deal with PDF files.

If the fonts are manly Times New Roman that should not be a problem, cause the macs have times new roman that works as a replacement fine.

Its if there are many other fonts. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
