I was wondering does anyone know a function that i could place infront of a query, that will allow the query to remove a $ from infront of a a field in the database.
EG $12345
it should be 12345
Thanks
Reta

If your field is text:
Mid([your field], 2)
If your field is numeric, simply change the format property when in the query grid.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Hi
If the field is currency, you could format it:
[tt]Format([Field],"General Number")[/tt]
for example. If it is text, you could use:
[tt]Mid([Field1],2)[/tt]

oh ok thanks PHV and Remou. You have solved my problem
