Dear Fellow Members,

I am totally stuck at how can I display ******* in my TEdit Box rather than usual characters for security reasons? I want to use this in password box.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys!

I got the answer only in Borland C++ help file.

I think sometimes it is better to take a small break and then continue with the work.

Anyways, thanks a lot

if your answer was "setting some Password flag in edit box" then be warned that under the hood edit box keeps actual text - and where are programs that could get text from there.

Thanks for your answer. So If I say that I want to go one step further. Then with what type of code you are aware?

I set the option "PasswordChar" to '*' in the object inspector rather than any code.

I think, it would be a problem only if other person could run your program and read other person's password from box. So suggestion is simple: just do not store anything on form-open in that field. Let it be blank.
