How to display full path in DMX title bar?

hello,

i am currently working on several sites that are all in several subfolders in the same directory. since the title bar for dreamweaver only displays the immediate "-[folder/filename]" - it makes it it difficult to keep track of which file belongs to which subfolder.

is there a way to make dreamweaver display the full path in the titlebar? i've searched this online & read there may be an extension for this..does anyone know where i can find it?

that is why u have a tab called "Files" where u can see all about your site!

uh no.. perhaps i wasn't clear.

i have some 50+ folders of websites. each website folder has several subfolders (i.e. html, documents, design, download etc) and since all the html is within the html subfolder, all that is displayed in the title bar is html/index.php. if for example i am working on more than one index.php, there is no differentiating between for example

website1/version1/html/index.php

and

website2/version3/html/index.php

i was simply trying to find out if there is a way for the full path to be displayed in the title bar (i.e. it would display "website1/version1/html/index.php" instead of just displaying "html/index.php" as it currently does.

welll the way DW interprents URLs is based ont he site root...so yes You will be able to see difference between:
website1/version1/html/index.php
- if the root is "website1" but all u will see is:
/html/index.php


otherwise u would have to set up your site to be "document relative"...but in that case all the links and src will be pointing based on the phisical path on your test server whihc then u need to re-edit in order for paths to work for true server....not worth it

this is too bad as I can feel your pain to be quickly informed about "deeper structure" ....

well, this is an example of how my sites are set up:

when i have either of the 2 highlighted index.php's open in dmx, all i see in the title bar is "html/index.php" for both. i guess dmx doesnt show structures deeper than 1 level..no way to change this eh?

and yeah, i agree, its definitely not a feasible solution to make everything document relative as most days i have about 10+ sites to work on..

I don't think that there is a way....and the only thing to relay on would be the "site explorer" like you have it....
