Hi, Experts,

I have a simple html file like this:

Code:
<html>
<body>
Search string is: "faßt".
</body>
</html>

When I open this file through Firefox File->Open File, it looks like this:

Search string is: "faßt".

Could someone kindly tell me how to handle this? Many thanks!

If possible use the ASCII code equivelant of that mark. Do a google search for ASCII code chart.

You have to tell the browsers the character set to use :
Code:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
And if needed, to tell th web server to not send different information in the HTTP header.

Feherke.
