Hello,

My goal is to create a simple MS Access database (version 2002/2003) with some fields and a picture.

I have defined the picture field as a OLE-Object. (Is this correct?)

The picture is record bound (every record has his own image).

The picture is linked (to a relative subfolder).

In the Form, I can select a picture, but I only see its filename together with an icon. Of course, I would like to see the real picture. The question is: How do I do that?

Thanks in advance.
Accepic.

Take a look at the Northwind database.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks, I have looked at it.

So selecting OLE Object is correct.

When entering data, on the field Picture, I right-click and select "Insert Object..."
Then I click on the radio-button "Create from file"
Then I browse to my jpeg image
I also check "link"
But the result is "Package" in the field, while it had to be "Bitmap Image".

What's wrong here?

Maybe I misunderstood. You do not insert the file into your form. The file is stored outside of Access, and you reference the file with the code as stated in the Micorsoft KB that I pointed you to...
