is it possible in xp to enable or disable the PPTP, or to install and uninstall it

please let me know

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
In Registry Editor, locate the following subkey
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\<000x>

where <000x> is the network adapter for the WAN Miniport (PPTP) driver.
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type ValidateAddress, and then press ENTER. The default setting for this value is 1 (on); therefore, by setting it to 0, you turn it off.
Quit Registry Editor.
Restart your computer.
