Hi,
I've just acquired a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Sound Card and I want to disable the Integrated Sound Card on the PC, the PC I have is a HP Pavilion 710 how do I do it?

Cheers,

Nickotine.

You will need to go into the BIOS and diable the onboard soundscard. This will normally be found in something like "Intergrated Peripherals"

nickotine, you can also go into device manager and disable or remove your integrated sound there. everyday you learn something new, the day you dont is the day you die....so make someone live longer teach them something.......MUTT

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question, went into the BIOS and disabled from there, installed new Sound Card and worked perfectly.

Easy when you know how!!

It's like adding another Sweet to the Jar!!
