How do I disable a service port on Windows 2000 Server? And, how do I change the default port to another one? Thanks

You can use tcp/ip filtering ...

Go to tcp/ip properties.
Click the advanced button.
Select the options tab.
Select Tcp/ip filtering.
Click on the Properties Button.....

Hi,
To change the default port goto winnt\system32\drivers\etc, open file called services with notepad and edit the port #
