How can I find out how well my IDE drive is performing?
I'd like to run a utility and have it report how much MB/s, etc for writes and reads. I am using Windows XP. Any utils other than perfmon out there?

You can try benchmark test on it or better yet do a stress test. I use a program called Techfacts, try googling it.

Most drive vendors have such a utility on their site. What MFG is your drive?

Thanks rodrunner79 - Though Techfacts does not seem to have a utility for performance in terms of kb/s.

check your drive MFG's web site.....

Then take jdemmi's advise and check your HD manufacturer's website. They should be able to provide you a program that can diagnose your drive.
