I am having a peculiar problem . We have 2 stand alone win2k server where we are sharing Network printers for users. For one of the user the printer is not getting installed If it get installed it is not printing even test page.. But if i install the printer on other machine it is working fine. Therefore i need to clear all the printer ports because it has been found previous printer ports created is creating problems

ok, printer ports information are stored in registry.
But why try to delete this inf. directly from there ?

Open folder Start | Setting | Printers

then

File | Server Properties

then tab Ports

then delete all unused AND unwanted ports
(also unwonted drivers in drivers tab)

bye

Thank you for the suggestion , but i have tried it and the ports are not getting deleted. Please if anyone knows how to remove the ports thro' registry please inform

Thanks ,
Manoj.
