I am very rusty at making changes to our SL-1 (ST I think), and now I need to reduce our incoming lines (ground start) from 9 to 8, but I have forgotten how! We have 1011 Rel 15.46 software.
What is the easiest way to make the system ignore line 9 during tests and grab line 8 as the first outgoing line instead of line 9?
Thanks,
gr

disable the port.

ld 32.

disu L S C U

That will work.

or if you want to out.

Print the TN in ld 20 then out in ld 14.

Use your buttset to make sure your outing the right one and not a working oe.

be careful, rusty one, disu or out will not stop people from dialing in on that trunk if it still connected at the office.. look at the ld 30 call commands to test to make sure that's a dead trunk.. often times your line 9 may be your providers line 1..

Thanks to all for the memory jog! I am sure about the trunks because I have these nifty bridge clips with lights in them (flash red on ring, contin green when in use) that show the lines that are in use, and can see incoming start at #1, and outgoing start at #9. This is also very handy setup to tell how many lines are needed by seeing how far incoming or outgoing calls hunt toward each end (in the CDR data).
Sadly, they don't make the clip lights any more (was Siemon).
I have it DISU right now, but if I remember this will come back to life on a restart, so I will do a real out.
My original worry was that something else looked at that specific trunk, and would be unhappy to not find it or find 8 instead of 9.

no if your sure it's down go to 14 and do the out. i hate trying to trouble shoot one that has been dead for years.. had that problem on a switch with 6 t1's in the software and 4 of them down, takes a while to determine that 2 or the 3 had been in red alarm for years, just never removed from the software.. turns a 30 min trouble into half a day.
