Is there a way to decrease the printing intensity of a HP Deskjet 890C, in order to save on ink consumption?

Looking at the prices of to-day's cartridges, this sounds like a good idea....

I also heard that you can stop the color printing of a printer
(leaving the black printing intact), but I don't know how.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your valuable input.

Charles.

The DJ890c has an "EconoFast mode" that is the equivalent of "draft" mode for the earlier HP Deskjet printers. Draft mode is intended for printing fast and inexpensive output, at the expense of high print quality. This can be found in the printer properties. I cannot give you the exact location but if you look around the properties, you should be able to find it.

Memo to Ikayak:

Thank you for your answer. I tried "EconoFast mode" as you suggested and it works very well.

I would like to give you a star, but I don't know how to do it.
