It is hard to put into words. I'll do my best. I found it easier to work on the bottom of the screen. I found I had to have some running tasks and the desktop toolbar 'ticked' to get the taskbar to 'behave'.
Unlock the taskbar and turn off auto hide.
Put the taskbar on the bottom of the screen.
Open & minimize three applications (3 explorer windows will do).
Ensure the QL and desktop toolbars are ticked.
Drag the taskbar to be 3 - 4 rows deep.
Arrange so that the order (left to right) is QL, running tasks, desktop, information area.
Grab the QL bar and drag off the taskbar and back to the taskbar without letting go. This should put the QL bar as the top row. (If it doesn't - re-arrange so that the order (left to right) is QL, running tasks, desktop, information area and try again.
Close the desktop toolbar if you don't want it.
Drag the taskbar to the top of the screen and then set the height and other preferences to your tastes.
Best of luck - you have to fiddle quite a bit as the taskbar seems to have a mind of its own at times LOL.
