how to copy/paste between 2 different programs

Can't you use Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste)? They are both standards of Windows so maybe you can make use of them. Or maybe you can capture an image of your music editor (Alt+PrtScr) and paste it on Winword (Ctrl+V).

The copy (ctrl+C) and paste (ctrl+V) are not so standard, they work well only with programs from the same maker as Excel and MS Words. If one tries to copy/paste from a musical score editor (Encore, Finale, Guitar Pro) to MS Words, he will obtain, in MS Words, an icon, not a copy of the musical notation.
I would like to use MS Words to write an article or a classical guitar method and use a midi sequencer to edit a musical piece. Then, it would be nice to add that piece (in musical notation format), into the article made with MS Words.

Save your file as a picture format possibly...maybe it is already...and then,
Try the Insert Picture function in WORD. I haven't had a go at what your trying to do, though I'd work on it....remember MS ain't no Mac when it comes to Music and Art editing, creating, composing etc..
