Hi,

I'm trying to work out how WORKGROUP->DOMAIN authentication/trust works.

I have a server running NT connected directly to a firewall and our Windows 2003 LAN is also connected to the firewall.

I want to schedule a job running on the NT machine as a user to copy a file to a machine on the Windows LAN.

copy c:\sourcefile.txt \\10.nn.nn.nn\sharename\folder\

Could anyone help explain how to setup the security of this?

Well I've currently got this working by making my script:
net use \\10.nn.nn.nn\sharename /DELETE
net use \\10.nn.nn.nn\sharename <password> /USER:<DOMAIN\user>
copy c:\sourcefile.txt \\10.nn.nn.nn\sharename\folder\

eurgh.
How can I remove the necessity for the "net use" as it was previously?
