How to copy a file to clipboard

Hi,
I'm trying to write a program to copy a file to the clipboard,then paste it to spacified directory.(the reason I didn't use filecopy method is if the sourse file is opened this method will failed,but if using copy and paste to do it ,it's ok.Right now I do it manuly, i want it done autometically )any thoughts?
