Hi to all,

I would like to know is there anyway for me to convert my Windows 2000 (under FAT32 format) to NTFS without data loss or without changing any current settings.

Since Partition Magic 5.01 gray out the option for converting from FAT32 to NTFS, so what should I do ?

Any suggestion is welcome and highly appreciated and please email me at gomcse@home.com

--Taken from Windows Help--

C:\>convert /?
Converts FAT volumes to NTFS.

CONVERT volume /FS:NTFS [/V]

volume Specifies the drive letter (followed by a colon),
mount point, or volume name.
/FS:NTFS Specifies that the volume to be converted to NTFS.
/V Specifies that Convert should be run in verbose mode.

Don't know if this will help ya, and I don't know if it will schedule it to convert on next reboot, so good luck!

Yes, it will schedule conversion for next system startup.
I would not expect data loss. It is a fairly tried-and-true operation. But,ALWAYS run a full backup first when making ANY filesystem change.
