I have a customer with a 70V (2 wire) paging amplifier that worked on an Avaya Magix CO port. Connected it to customers new IP Office 406V2 SW4.0.7 in an analog port and configured the extension to Paging Speaker.

Then programmed Dial Paging button on DS extension with action data of the analog port 201. When I press the button I get a station busy indication. The steps listed in Help seem pretty straight forward, but no success.

Any suggestions?

You need a upam. This converts a dry ciruit to a wet circuit, or vise versa

If it was working on the Magix's CO port, you already have the UPAM or TAM-B or PagePal, or whatever they were using.

If using an analog station port (configured as paging speaker), all you really need is an isolation transformer between the IPO station port and amplifier. Hook into Bogen Tip/ring. You also need to put the analog station into a hunt group and make a "dial paging" shortcode that refers to the hunt group.

I think from your post you programmed it wrong. You have to put the analog station port in a group, then when you create the dial paging code you put the group in the action data.

I was connected to a Viking RAD-1A (UPAM) on a T/R port configured as a Standard Telephone. However the port would not release the UPAM and solid tone would be heard over the speaker, this had not previously occurred on similar installations the difference being the systems are running 3.2.xx software. On this installation (SW4.0.7) once I put the port in a Hunt Group and made that the Action Data instead of the extension everything worked properly. Thanks for the assistance.
