Can i know how to check the ODBC data source? I have one ms access file. The tables are connected to ODBC data souce. When i tried to recreate the table and select the ODBC, the ms access asked me to locate the DSN server, in this case i suspect it should be something like UNC path. I am not sure as i new to ODBC stuff. Where can i find the ODBC datasource (except by asking the relevant stuff because the relevant is on leave).

Go to tools, add ins, linked table manager of your existing database. That will show you the path. To connect them to the new database go to file, get external data, import or link, ODBC databases, machine data sources (second tab) pick the appropiate source.

FIRST you need to make sure that the ODBC data source is itself registered on the particular machine that you are working on.

Start Menu, Settings, ControlPanel, OBDC Data Sources
or for Win2k & beyond
Start Menu, Settings, ControlPanel, Admin Tools, OBDC Data Sources

and make sure that the data source is set up and that you know the name of it correctly.
