Avaya has invested some time to introduce a new (or very old...) feature with conference planning and the oppurtunity to define a conference pin for every user so that foreign users can connect to meet me conference of specific users by entering that code.

So far so good... But I only see two options to change that conf code. The first is through Manaqger, the second is via OneX Portal or 1XP client applications like OutlookPlugin. You can administer the code for every user in Manager but only 1XP users can change it themselves. Sadfully conf code isn't an option in Web Selfadmin. And I didn't find anything in VMPro to change it through a custom module.

Can this be true?

I don't really understand what you mean, but why don't have the choice to set an individual code every time you start a conference?

For example
ipo shortcode
77xxx
conference meet me
.
linegroup 0

then in vmpro make a menu with $ and then a transfer to 77$KEY

OP is not looking for a workaround.

They forgot to put in a Generic for it.

Try this free format command-> CFG:SET "<USERNAME>" ConferencePIN <PIN-number>
(maybe you need to add an underscore in the Conference_PIN.. Not tested, just a hunch)

Kind regards

Gunnar

because that sets the conference brdge number not the password.
What derfloh means is the individual conf bridge where your extension number is the conf bridge number and all callers logged into it are on hold until you join from your extension / one-x
that is more secure as nobody can talk to any other participant without you being present.

Hi Gunnar,

I tried

CFG:GET "<USERNAME>" Conference_PIN
as well as
CFG:GET "<USERNAME>" ConferencePIN

and let $SAV set a user defined variable.

But all I get is "Complete"

Yeah, I tried about 20 variants myself, to no avail.
Hopefully something that comes along in a future SP.

Kind regards

Gunnar

VMPro includes /opt/vmpro/RemoteXMLCallflow/>REQUESTPIN.xml that contains reference to $VMPROCONFPINVAR but I hadn't any luck with it as well.

Are you just trying to let the users change their conference bridge pin for external participants?
