Greetings:

How does one change the icon that is displayed in Windows Explorer?

-->Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
 
if a document opens with a certian program you have to change the icon on that program.

if it's just a shortcut you can change them individually by right clicking.


for programs, in Windows Explorer, goto tools > folder options > file types > advanced >change icon

sorry just realized i was in the XP forum, that was for win2k, but it's probably very similar for XP

I'd like to use a custom icon (like a teeeeny bmp or jpg). Is that possible?
