How to change from 4 digit extensions to 5 digits on the switch and Meridian Mail???

thank you!!

You have to do them all individually. Isn't that so cool. If you have MAt or OTM, you can do Global changes, means you don't have hand punch the lot. You could go to & check out the Procomm scripts.

Hi

No, I need to know how to program the switch or MM to recognize both 4 and 5 digit extensions and mail boxes.
This is for new extensions, the 4's will remain the same.

Thank you!

OK, well you need to Print out your feature packages in LD 22 (PRT,PKG). Look for PKG 150 (DNXP) DN Expansion. This allows you to have DN's up to 7 digits.

Meridian mail doesn't care about the DN length. However, in any auto attendants you may have, you may want to adjust the MAX Digits option, but thats on an individual basis for each Auto Attendant.

Hope this helps...

Kris

Hi, I've a question, If you choose to have both 4&5 digit extensions, How would the switch know if it waits for the 5th digit or rings back?
