How to change colors?

Hi,
Newbie here! I want a specific color for my text? Where to go and what to do? All I see is 5 colors and degrees of tint!
Where's the advanced color palette?

Click at the top right of the colour palette (just below the close icon) on the small arrow to choose New Colour. There you have all the options.
