Can you help?
We need to find a way to change the sessionname variable used by NFuse. We have no problems with any other client connection method. As standard it uses a format or either:
domainname (1st 5 chars)-username (1st 8 chars) - Algorithm(5chars)
or
domainname-username
We need this to provide a solution to a variety of customers.
Background:
We are working on a project where we have a huge variety of connections to an SQL backend using a propreitory software application. The client types we have to consider are:
Fat clients
terminal services 2k clients using PCs and WBTs
terminal services 2k3 clients using PCs and WBTs
Citrix 1.8 clients using PCs and WBTs
Citrix XP client using the full PN
Citrix XP client using the PN Agent and NFuse
Citrix XP client using the web client and NFuse using PCs and WBTs
Citrix XP client using ICA connections using PCs and WBTs
i.e. basically almost every conceivable IBM-compat client using client/server, TS, CTX and NFuse infrastructures.
The reason for needing to change this is because the proprietory software has workstation specific information (what peripherals it has and where it is, etc) that needs to be stored in the database. Therefore, regardless of the user who uses a workstation, it must always pick up the same session name.
Any thoughts?
