How to call WordPad and Windows Media Player through createobject()

I don't think that you can. An application has to be able to fucntion as a COM server. There are other ways to execute them.
Wordpad can be called with an API call. See Mike Lewis' article on this at his site:
And Windoes Media Player can be added to a form as an OLE object.
