I wan't my form to save the record the user is working on before they go to the next record.(because sometimes they don't go to the next record) anyway Access automaticly saves the record when they go to the next one...but I wan't it to save when they press a button I made. So I assume that the menu Records->Save will do this...so

How can I call the built in menu item
Records->Save

from a function or a macro?

thanks for any help...

Create the save button with the wizard turned on.

Select Record Operation on the left and Save Record on the right.

If I followed your post correctly, this should do the trick. [sig]
Larry De Laruelle
larry1de@yahoo.com

[/sig]

Thanks I'll try that. It sounds right, but I can't try it until monday.
