I created a VB6 program that requires an Access database (ADO). I can run the program on my PC just fine but when I build the distrbution setup.exe program the database will not open after the program is installed on a different PC.

Here are what I think are the required files that are currently included in my setup.exe program:

mscomctl.ocx
msvbvm60.dll
msstdfmt.dll
msado15.dll

Something is missing. Do you know what files I need to distribute with my program that will allow other PCs to use the Access mdb?

Thank you.

Hello,

Are you adding the database file itself to the setup package ? There is a step in the package and deployment program that allows you to add files, I always just select the database file and set it's location there and have never had a problem, I am using Dao though but that should not matter as long as teh file location is correct.

Are you getting a specific error message?
