I seem to be recieving alot of pornagraphic emails that I wish to block. I have tried to contact the sites and get my company removed from their mailing lists but it seems we have an email address that is being distributed without our knowledge. I cant remove or change this address as it is a well know address for the company. So the point of my question is can I block certain content types or message lines or even specific mail addresses?

Thanks for any help you can give.

On 5.5 you can use message filtering in your Internet Mail Service to block email from specific addresses or email domains.

Go to the connections tab in the IMS properties. There should be a 'message filtering' button. Here you can add the domain names or actual addresses. You also have the option to simply delete the messages or have them moved to the turf directory. There's an MS Technet article on that (Q193926).

You can also get some info on filtering from Technet article Q193437, it gives details on the way incoming mail is affected by addresses you enter.

Hope this helps somewhat....
