I am trying to block mail into our exchange server that meet certain criteria whether it be an individual address or a domain. I went into the Exchange System Manager and on Global Settings I right clicked the Message Delivery and clicked properties. Under the filter tab, I added our addresses and domains. I tried to test it by blocking my yahoo e-mail account, but after sending a test message it came right through. Is there somthing else that needs to be done in order to block specific e-mail addresses or domains?

I believe you also must apply this rule to your SMTP Virtual Server, using the Access tab...

No luck here...the only restrictions you can make are on IP addresses and domain names.

This article will help Q276321 it tells about filtering email on exchange 2000

Thanks for the responses, I just figured it out. On the properties menu of the SMTP virtual server; under the General tab, click Advanced. Make sure filter is enabled. If not, press edit and check apply filter. After that is done, than you can specify individual addresses or domains under the Message Delivery properties.
