How to backup to disk

This is my first post, so please be kind! We are running Backup Exec 8.5 and would like to backup data from one server to a hard drive on another server. I can't seem to find out how to do this. I saw something on the Veritas tech knowledge about creating new "backup to disk" folders from the Device tab. I do not have anything on my Device tab for a "Backup to Disk" folder. Is this something I can create? If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Backup Exec 8.5 does not support Backup to disk folders - you will need to upgrade to ver 9.0 or above.

Actually 8.6 is the first version to support Backup To Disk - but it's not available anymore, so you have to go to 9.1.
