HELP!!!
I really need to know how to get my backup scripts copied to another location. Can I export these or do I need to use the command line. I would hate to have to re-create my jobs if I had a failure on one of my backup boxes.

Thnx,

Raid5,

I assume you are using 9.1, correct? If so, and you are running under the evaluation period. You can use the APPO (Admin Plus Pak option) Copy Job feature.

This feature allows you too copy jobs from one 9.1 backup server to another 9.1 backup server. To take advantage of this option, go to the Job setup tab, highlight the job(s)you want to copy, right click and select Copy to Media servers.

If all you want to do is to protect your job and history data from a catastrophe. There is also the option of making periodic copies of the BEDB.bak file located in C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data to an alternate location. If you lose your backup server, you can always restore your backup server from this .bak copy.

Also, don't forget to backup/make a copy of your C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data\catalogs directory. It's pain if you have to rebuild your catalogs from tape.
