How to avoid "Access Violation" in a report 1

We are using an application made it with Delphi 3.0 that was workin succesfull and was running on Windows 98 but now it's running on Windows XP, the problem is when the user wants to display a report but the system show this error: "Access Violation". Another problem is that I don't have the code source and I wanna find out some software for decompile the .exe.

There are decompilers available for download. The decompiled source will be asm, not pascal.

I know that Qreport's was updated between D3 and D4, don't know if this will have an effect.
