Is there any way to avoid Quark when printing document to ask for update images, i.e. is there any way images to be automatically embed within document? When you have lots of images in different folders is big waisting of time to updating every single one. I'm using Quark 5.

First, when you open a Quark file, the first thing you should do is go to Utilities > Usage and check all your images and fonts to make sure they're installed and up-to-date.

As long as your image hasn't been resaved, Quark won't have to update it. If the image files have been resaved, even if no changes were made, Quark will want to update. If you move or rename a file or enclosing folder, the file will probably be "missing." Another issue is if you have different files with identical names -- if Quark is pointed at the wrong one, it will want to update. To answer your actual question, yes, it is possible to embed images, but since it's a sloppy way to place graphics, I don't even know how it's done.

But I think this is more a problem with your image filing system than with Quark.... Quark is doing a service by notifying you that your images aren't going to print full resolution and by giving you a chance to fix it before you waste time and toner printing out crappy pictures. Take a look at your filing system and see if you can put all your images in one folder. Once you point Quark at an image file in a folder, it will recognize any others that are in the same location. Yes, it can be tedious to update every picture in a document, but there's got to be something else going on with something you're doing if you have to do this with every Quark file you print. I only have to update my images if I've changed or moved them and I have folders all over the place. The key is that I KEEP them in the same place with the same name.
