I really like the way the "Filter Form" features work... meaning you can choose whatever you want to filter.

Is this a good way to search for your records? And if so, is there a way to incorporate an easy way to bring up a blank form that has the filter automatically on, then a button to say apply it?

Thanks!

Chance,

The filter form from the Northwinds database is certainly an option. It is a bit more complex than say a drop down combo box or a list box where you could make your selection and then move to the record in question.

The advantage of a combo box for searching is it has a character by character matching option build in.

HTH,

Steve

I could not find the Northwind filter Form??

Chance,

The Customer Phone list form was the one that I had in mind.

It is set up to filter the customers based on the letter of the alphabet that is selected.

You may have to view the database window and go to the forms section in order to find it.

HTH,

Steve

Ok, I will take a look!

really what I am looking for is just a simple way to be able to search by a possible 2 fields.

LionsNumber
or
LastName

If you can think of any easy way to do that in the meantime... much appreciated!!

Thanks
Chance~
