Hi,

We have unix machines and is waiting for the NTserver service UP in order to print.

Should I have LPD service to allow Unix client to print on NT?

How can I do that?

Many thanks for your help.

Goto Add/Remove programs
select Windows Components
Select Other Network File and Print Services

This will allow Unix clients to print to 2k

Thank you very much, it works fine now. Another last problem:)

When printing a file from Unix, we have postscript code + contents !

Is that driver problem?

Many thanks

Ely.

If your postscript and contents are all your printing you can copy directly to the unc of the printer provided its text.

ex. \\servername\printer_name

I work in a legal document processing company and everything is directly copied to the UNCs. It may work for you. Good luck.
