Greetings to all, I am planning to install an external device IDE HDD with 80 Gb and use it as backup, I have been thinking and I have no clue where to start?
does any one done this before? if not with iomega which HDD device? any help will do? I understand iomega does not come with linux drivers and i am running red hat 7.3

Thanks for your help

Joe

What are you going to plug it into on the computer? Do you have an external IDE connector?

If you add any IDE device to the bus, it appears as /dev/hdX to the system, where X is a, b, c...

If you haven't already purchased anything, I'd recommend a USB2 or Firewire device.
